Want to Know How to Apply for a Job at the Post Office? Attend a Workshop to Find Out!

OAKLAND, CA People interested in working for the U.S. Postal Service can attend one of two workshops on how the online application process works. The Postal Service has a need for Automotive Technicians, Casual Mail Handlers, City Carrier Assistants, Mail Handler Assistants, Postal Support Employees, Rural Carrier Associates, and Tractor Trailer Operators.
Workshops will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm at following locations:
10:00 am: Oakland Processing & Distribution Center, 1675 7th Street, Oakland CA 94615.
2:00 pm: San Jose Processing & Distribution Center, 1750 Lundy Avenue, San Jose, CA 95101.
Applicants must be 18 years of age, or 16 years of age with a high school diploma. Applicants must be able to pass drug screening, criminal background and any other applicable Postal Service test. Each vacancy posting has specific job details; some positions may be temporary.
For the Oakland workshop, entry to the facility parking lot is through the security guard check point.

For the San Jose workshop, entry to the facility parking lot is through the employee entrance on Hostetter Street. There is a buzzer at the parking gate. Someone will open the gate when buzzed. After parking, approach the Employee Entrance and wait to be escorted into the building.
