The UCSF Institute for Health & Aging (IHA) is conducting a study to help
mothers with young children to lose weight and to increase physical activity. We
use the Fitbit device to help moms track their activity.

The study involves three office visits and you will be asked to complete
questionnaires and a physical exam (weight, height, blood pressure, hip and
waist circumference).

You have potential to keep the Fitbit (activity monitor) and to receive $50
after finishing the study.

You may qualify for the study if you:

18-44 years of age
Physically inactive
Having at least one child aged less than 5 years
Having at least one family member or friend who can support your
physical activity engagement and reside in the community with you
Have access to computer and phone

If you or someone you know would like to find out more information about the
study or to volunteer, please call directly at (415) 502-3091 or email directly
at, including your contact information and best times to reach

Please be assured that all information relating to this study will be kept
