Description
This is a very lovely tiger oak roll top desk that my father used every day for
over 50 years. He bought it at auction in the mid 60’s. The plate identifies it
as Chicago Commercial Furniture Co. It has 1907 scribbled in the bottom of the
center drawer but is definitely early 20th century.
Has all but a couple of the original pullouts at the back and typical slots for
papers etc. All original hardware/pulls. For its age and heavy use it is in
remarkable shape: minor scratches; couple drawers need to be reglued; small
veneer issue on the back; lock is disabled and no key; worn through the finish
front center edge -but not into the wood.
Roughly 5-1/2’w x 3’w x 4’h (exact measurements forthcoming.
